The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys‘ resident “den mother,” Tessa Lollar, has seen it all throughout her many years working for and building close bonds with the family at the heart of the Bravo series.Â
In fact, Tessa’s was the first voice viewers heard when Season 2 of The McBee Dynasty (streaming on Peacock) premiered last year, as she took on the narrator role with her signature drawl. More recently in Season 3, Tessa was front and center as “the whole family” gathered to celebrate Cole McBee’s long-awaited marriage proposal for Kacie Adkison. What’s more, Tessa revealed in Episode 5 that she’d been in on Cole’s secret longer than most.
When Kacie and Galyna Saltkovska paid Tessa a visit at work, she recounted how Cole had also stopped by to see her before he popped the question. “It was the most romantic thing, but he said … ‘I think it’s time that Kacie has me and Blair’s last name,'” Tessa recalled. “I didn’t know he was so romantic. … Love is in the air on this here farm, like everywhere.”

Who is Tessa Lollar?
Tessa is a close family friend and longtime employee of McBee Farm & Cattle Co. who has appeared on all three seasons of The McBee Dynasty.
Details on Tessa Lollar’s job on The McBee Dynasty
In addition to her unofficial title of “den mother,” Tessa has also been the family’s longtime “fuel gal” who’s kept all the farm equipment ready to roll. On The McBee Dynasty‘s July 13 episode, however, Tessa announced her recent promotion to meat facility manager amid the company’s financial struggles.
“We’ve been selling off some things and restructuring,” the Missouri native explained in a confessional. “The boss, he called me and he said, ‘Tessa, I need you to come up here. I want you to whip everything into shape up here at McBee Meat Company. I want you to be the office manager.'”
Despite the new position that Steve McBee Sr. gave her, Tessa admitted that she does “miss being the fuel gal,” however. “But I take it all in stride,” she added in a producer interview. “And there ain’t nothing I wouldn’t do for the boss and them boys.”
The McBees, meanwhile, previously noted that Tessa plays a much larger role in the company than her official job title might suggest. Noting in a 2020 Instagram caption that she “still has a huge smile on her face,” even after a “long day in the fields,” the official McBee Farms account described her as the fuel distribution manager, company chef, entertainment specialist, and part-time psychiatrist, “especially during the long haul of a planting season.”

The caption continued, “Tessa doesn’t work without a smile on her face and keeps a positive attitude ANY time of the day, no matter how many hours in she’s been working. Most days, she’ll make her first stop at 7 am and won’t pull back into her house until 11:30 at night, only to start all over again hours later. Often times we get too busy to truly appreciate the attitude and effort Tessa puts in daily – but it doesn’t go unnoticed. Tessa has been an integral part of McBee Farms for years, and we can only hope that she’s a key member here for years and years to come!”
Tessa also regularly appears in videos on the McBee Farms social media channels, and she even launched a new “Cookin’ with Tessa!” segment in December 2025.
Tessa Lollar revealed “what you didn’t see” about her singing career on The McBee Dynasty
Viewers saw Tessa showcase her vocal talent during Season 1 of The McBee Dynasty, but the self-described singer/songwriter‘s musical endeavors have not been featured in subsequent seasons. Underscoring in a September 2025 video on the McBee Meats Instagram that she’s “not much on bragging” about herself, Tessa explained that the boys wanted her to talk about her new album, Lonely.
“What you didn’t see in Season 2 was me going to Nashville … making my album,” she revealed, noting that Cole, Steven McBee Jr., and Jesse McBee were all with her in the Music City. Tessa also shared a clip of her music video for the lead single, “Lonely,” featuring “bossman” Steve Sr.
“It’s a real honor and a pleasure to have my sweet little bossman in the video with me,” she said. “You know, he has been one of my biggest supporters, and if it wasn’t for boss and the boys, I wouldn’t even have this here video.”
Details on Tessa Lollar’s kids and family
Though Tessa is very much part of the McBee family, she has raised her own children too. In honor of Mother’s Day 2019, she shared an Instagram photo of her “five beauties,” including three daughters and two sons. “The greatest gift God ever gave me was the gift of being a Mother!” Tessa wrote. “Love them beyond words.”
Later that same year, she shared a photo with one of her daughters, writing, “Raising amazing children to become amazingly wonderful adults is the greatest treasure!”
