As seen on video, an SUV veered right into a crowd standing outside a restaurant. A witness says that the driver had been doing doughnuts, according to KTLA.
As seen on the footage, that vehicle appeared to crash right into a wall. The aftermath shows a hole in the wall and the edge of the structure crumbling.
Authorities in the city of Santa Clarita, California, announced no major injuries.
Six people sustained minor injuries, but it is reportedly unclear if anyone went to the hospital.
Members of the crowd can be seen receiving treatment in the aftermath.
The incident happened at around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday in the Valencia Town Center at the Black and Blue Restaurant. A vehicle veered right at the crowd. As seen on footage, a passenger is hanging out a window.
“The driver decided to do some doughnuts in a white-looking SUV. She did one turnover around where it pretty much wasn’t too successful,” a witness said, according to KCAL. “I guess she did another and that one actually made impact. It luckily did not hit too many people but a lot of people were getting knocked down.”
The vehicle allegedly fled the scene.
Authorities said, however, that the suspect vehicle dropped a bumper and license plate. Using this, they managed to find and arrest two women on suspicion of a DUI crash. Authorities identified neither woman. KTLA footage shows authorities pulling two women over in a traffic stop and apparently making them undergo sobriety tests.
