There is no leave or vacation planned for Colin Cowherd. On August 12, 2015, it was revealed that Cowherd had agreed to a four-year deal with Fox Sports. The Herd’s TV simulcast changed to Fox Sports 1, Premiere Networks, and Fox Sports Radio on September 8, 2015.

Kristine Leahy, a co-host and news reporter, took part. Joy Taylor succeeded Leahy in 2018. Additionally, Cowherd contributes to Fox NFL Kickoff. On Fox Sports 1, Cowherd co-hosted the daytime sports talk program Speak for Yourself with Cowherd & Whitlock with Jason Whitlock.

In 2018, Cowherd, iHeartRadio, and Red Seat Ventures joined together to launch The Heard Podcast Network. The podcast’s flagship episode, The Colin Cowherd Podcast, debuted on “The Volume.”

Due to the Triple- Cowherd started his broadcasting career as the San Diego Padres’ and Las Vegas Stars’ play-by-play guy. The TV personality later advanced to the position of sports director at KVBC in Las Vegas, where Colin was named Nevada’s Sportscaster of the Year five times.

He served as Tampa, Florida’s WTVT weekend sports anchor from 1993 to 1995. In 1996, he relocated to Portland, Oregon, and began working as a sports anchor for KGW-TV. The Herd moved from an afternoon time slot to the morning drive hour on all-sports radio KFXX in 2001.

From 2004 until 2015, it was broadcast both online at ESPNRadio.com and to ESPN Radio affiliates all across the nation. In 2008, The Herd added a simulcast on ESPNU. The show features interviews with renowned experts and players as well as analyses of current sporting events.

Speak For Yourself, an FS1 program, was also hosted by Colin. Cowherd founded and introduced his podcast network, known as “The Volume,” in 2021. On July 23, 2015, Cowherd made remarks equating the proportion of baseball players from the Dominican Republic to the game’s seeming simplicity.

The Dominican Republic has not been recognized in my lifetime as having an academic potential of the highest caliber since a large portion of those children come from difficult backgrounds and have not had access to possibilities comparable to those available to children from other countries.

The MLB Players Association, as well as some athletes from the Dominican Republic, including José Bautista, condemned the remarks. Later that day, USA Today reported that because ESPN and Fox had remained silent on the problem, the MLBPA was considering “withholding cooperation” with them. Additionally, Major League Baseball censured Cowherd for his remarks.

In response to the remarks, ESPN said that the next day, it will immediately break ties with Cowherd. During the final episode of The Herd, Cowherd provided statistics from numerous studies on the state of education in the Dominican Republic at the time.
