Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey said in a Facebook post that what the two women did was “vile.”

“The local facility had no idea this was taking place,” Ivey saidy. “Abusing anyone is disgusting enough, but to make matters even worse, they livestreamed the abuse, they actually put it up … so that their friends could watch and laugh about it.”

The videos showed graphic images of the two women trying to change the patient’s soiled clothing. They are heard laughing, according to court records, while the woman screams “No!” repeatedly.

Investigators said they received a tip about the videos, recorded at the Market Street Memory Care Facility in Melbourne.

In one of the videos, the patient calls out “Help me” as Bishop says, “Ain’t no help.” In another, Harris yanks the sheet from the woman while telling her, “You making me mad now, let’s go.”

Investigators say the victim has been a patient at the facility since last August. She has been diagnosed with dementia but was said not to have any behavioral issues, according to the arrest warrants.

Harris and Bishop were fired, the facility said. The facility was unaware of the incidents when they took place, police said.
