Despite a major fight between Maddi Reese and Joe Bradley during Southern Hospitality Season 4, Joe made a bold prediction about his romantic future with the Republic VIP server and DJ during Episode 8.
“Maddi’s it for me, man. I’m proposing to her sooner than you think. It’s going to probably be in the next year,” Joe revealed to his brother Michael during the April 22 episode. “I’m starting to look at rings. For me and her, it’s just timing.”
As Joe prepared to turn 30, he was already envisioning his future. “My biggest dream, besides marrying Maddi and having kids, beyond that, my biggest dream is that our sons are best friends,” he told his brother.
After calling his recent fight with Maddi “a wakeup call,” Joe confessed to producers: “I just want to grow from this. Some minor changes in my life could lead me to all the things I’ve dreamed about. I might be confused about what I want to do with my life. But if I know one thing for certain, it’s that I want to marry Maddi Reese.”
Joe Bradley and Maddi Reese’s fight on Southern Hospitality Season 4, explained
In case you need a refresher, the couple had an explosive fight during Southern Hospitality‘s April 8 episode, after Maddi discovered Joe was at another bar after telling her he was working at Republic. It got so heated, Maddi told Joe, “To be honest, I think we need space.”
During their time apart, Maddi discussed his lack of career ambitions with Republic owner Leva Bonaparte. “It’s scary that we haven’t talked in a week. But after talking to Leva, after talking to my sponsor, I’m realizing that Joe is his own worst enemy, and I just want him to wake up and feel like he has a purpose,” Maddi told producers during the April 22 episode. “But I’m nervous to talk about this because if I can’t help Joe figure this out, I’m worried about our relationship long-term.”
Joe also admitted that his relationship with Maddi was still in serious jeopardy. “I haven’t talked to or slept in the same bed with Maddi in about a week. This has never happened. It’s been a nightmare,” Joe told producers.

When Joe and Maddi met up to hash out their problems, Maddi told him she got “clarity” on his career situation after speaking to Leva, and informed him that his partying and drinking were a problem.
“It’s not cute. Like, you’re turning 30 years old. Like, you need to reel it in,” she said. “You have a hard time saying ‘no’ and having boundaries.”
But Joe argued, “When I go out, I have a better chance of meeting investors for a future location elsewhere other than Republic.”
Still, Maddi insisted, “You’re having like a mid-life f—king crisis, and it’s like, ‘Dude, chill the f—k out.’ Your dream is this f—king close, Joe. You just need to prove yourself, and I don’t know if you have the capacity to be able to reel it in.”
“I don’t think there’s been a weekend [when] you haven’t gone out,” she continued. “And you want to move in with me and marry me and do all these things? I don’t really want a boyfriend who’s going out and getting drunk.”
Joe admitted he had “a real problem,” and explained, “I cope with my stress and my anxiety by drinking too much, and I acknowledge that. It scares the s—t out of me because I feel like it’s almost impossible for me to say ‘no’ sometimes.”
After their heart-to-heart, Joe and Maddi were able to patch their relationship up and celebrated his 30th birthday together.
Where Maddi Reese and Joe Bradley’s relationship stands today
Although Joe doesn’t appear to have put a ring on it yet, he and Maddi are still together. The two partied with other Bravolebs during Coachella on April 12-14, including Vanderpump Rules alums Scheana Shay and Ally Lewber, as well as Summer House alum Lexi Wood.
The two shared another major relationship milestone when they appeared on the March 18 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and revealed they adopted a dog together: a mini Bernedoodle they named Ozzy.

Maddi and Joe also teased more of what’s to come for them on Southern Hospitality Season 4 during a March 5 interview with PEOPLE. “I definitely think that buying a home and living together is our next step, and you’ll see that go down this season,” Maddi revealed.
Joe reiterated that he and Maddi do have a future together, even if the “timeline” isn’t fully decided. “I think we’re also just rolling with the punches and figuring it out, feeling it out,” he told the outlet. “We’re not the type of couple that’s going to make a five-year plan, but we are getting to that point where we’re like, alright, what do we do next?”
