Troy Aikman shared a heart-touching post on Instagram to honor his late mother, Charlyn Aikman, last Thursday, a day after her death.

“I’ve always believed there are angels among us,” Aikman wrote on Instagram.

“My mom was one of those angels. My sisters and I could not have asked for a better mother. A selfless woman that sacrificed more than anyone could imagine for the betterment of her children. Since her passing last night, I have received an outpouring of support.

“The prevailing message is how kind she was to them, which is not a surprise to me. She was kind to everyone. And she always had time for anyone that wanted to take some of hers. She was loved. I know she knew that, but I don’t know if she knew how much she was going to be missed. I love you, Mom.”

The emotional post has managed to gain more than 43.3K likes and 4,722 comments. Most of the comments are tributes to the deceased as the post served as a digital obituary for Charlyn Aikman, the late mother of Troy Aikman.

Charlyn Aikman died on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at her home in Long Beach. She was 80 years old. The mother of Troy Aikman was surrounded by her beloved family members at the time of her death.
