On that day, he was found hanging in the hallway of his Los Angeles apartment, located in the 600 block of Detroit Avenue.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department rushed him to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, but he died the following day due to injuries sustained from the hanging. Hospital staff pronounced him dead on November 12, 2003, at about 2:45 pm.
Jonathan did not leave any suicide notes. However, he had begun drinking heavily and said he wanted to kill himself.
Following his death, his friends reported that the Actor had been depressed about his dwindling career. He was also disappointed when his appearance in the 2002 film Hart’s War, expected to revive his career, was significantly cut.
