Salley Carson has some thoughts about her friends Austen Kroll and Molly O’Connell’s rumored hookup during Southern Charm Season 12.

In a preview for the new season of Southern Charm, which debuted at Bravo Fan Fest 2026, Austen can be seen recapping his previous night with Craig Conover, who went to a bar with him after Rodrigo Reyes’ party. “It was really fun. It was almost like a movie,” Craig tells Austen, who describes what went on that night. “I was dirty dancing on Venita [Aspen],” Austen says. “I picked her up at one point, we were like, swinging all over the place.”
Craig then brings up Molly, who he was dancing “back to back” with, before Austen swooped in and made a declaration about them. “And then you were like, ‘I’m gonna f–k Molly,'” Craig says. “I did not say that! I did?” Austen says, before making an admission of his own.
“OK, she’s dancing, she’s draggin’ a wagon, and then she started feeling on me. I was like, ‘OK.’ She was like, grabbing my junk. OK, flat out? I went home with Molly last night,” Austen says.
Meanwhile, Rodrigo can be seen recapping the previous night at Salley’s place before dropping the news about Austen, who didn’t take an Uber back from the bar with Salley. “He was getting into my Uber, Molly’s car came, and he turned around and he got into the car with her and they left together,” Rodrigo says.
This leaves Salley wanting to get to the bottom of things. “I saw them at the bar. I thought they were gonna f–k. Oh my God, should we call her and see if they f–ked?” she asks Rodrigo.

So, what should fans expect? During the “Battle of the Bravolebs” panel where the teaser clip played, Austen called it a “fun, flirty night,” but noted for fans to “watch the season… [to] just figure out what’s gonna happen next.”
Are Salley Carson and Austen Kroll dating?
No, Salley and Austen are not dating or seeing each other romantically. As Salley put it on her podcast, Sex Unlocked, on Sept. 23: “Nothing’s going on sexually between me and Austen. We haven’t kissed or done anything, but he was like, ‘We’re getting back to where that guy you liked didn’t want to date you because of how close we were.’ There have been guys in my life who are like, ‘You and Austen are too close. I can’t handle that.”

What to expect from Salley Carson and Austen Kroll on Southern Charm Season 12
Viewers will get to see more of Salley and Austen’s friendly relationship play out when Southern Charm Season 12 premieres on Bravo on Thursday, Nov. 12. According to an announcement for the season, “Austen is on top of the world. He and Salley seem to be happily friends with benefits, and his friendship with Craig is easy and carefree, finally. But when his feelings change and hard truths are dropped, Austen is forced to reevaluate his closest relationships.”
Meanwhile, “Salley’s interest in Austen remains strong, but she’s trying to come to terms with the fact that it might not be something more. This realization puts strain on the rest of Salley’s friendships within the group.”
