“This is the thing I was most excited about,” Amanda shared during the June 23 episode, as she took her father and her dog out on her patio. “Reese and I just sat out here. Early in the morning the sun shines like right through here. So we just sat here soaking up the sun. And she just sat here with her eyes closed like smiling in the sun. It was so nice.”

During her apartment hunt on In The City’s May 27 episode, Amanda shared her new apartment desires with producers.

“I’m trying to find somewhere that’s, like, furnished, month to month, [has] outdoor space, is pet friendly, with a doorman, and has sunlight,” she said at the time. “I want to wake up with the sun beating on my face where I leave my house in the morning and I have sunburn.”

Although Amanda ended up snagging a pet friendly, sunlit apartment with outdoor space—she admitted she signed a year-long lease, and moved in with no furniture.

“Well this is great. Lot of potential,” her father observed. “So what else do you need?” As Amanda looked around at her lack of tables and seating, she conceded, “A lot.”

Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke share their thoughts on her move

Although it was difficult, Amanda shared with producers why she believed moving out of her shared home with Kyle was best for their marriage.

“I truly believe that moving out will allow us to sort of really do that hard reset,” she explained during In The City’s June 23 episode. “But, it’s weird. And this is sad for me. I’ve never lived by myself before. It’s scary. I don’t do well with change. But it was absolutely necessary.”

She added, “Like, it’s bittersweet, but I’m really happy about it right now.”

Amanda’s move out wasn’t without conflict, as she and Kyle argued over his decision to stay out on her last night in their home.

“Her last night in our home being a night that I just stayed out kinda disrespected our marriage,” Kyle admitted to producers, and then shared he was having difficulty with her move.

“It was kinda like a knee-jerk reaction. Just not knowing how to process this, and quite frankly be around it. Being around her and her belongings,” he added. “The lack of packing, and then all the sudden the next morning, the packing.”

Why Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke clashed after her move-out

Amanda admitted to her father during In The City’s June 23 episode that although she’d moved out, she was still at odds with Kyle.

“Kyle’s just been like annoying about everything. His biggest issue with me is like the clutter,” she told him, and then joked, “Which I’m sure you guys are well aware of,” as her father nodded in agreement.

Kyle wasted no time putting his apartment in order upon Amanda’s departure, and invited Imagine It Done organizers over within a week of her move out.

“I literally, I just like, don’t understand what to make of it,” he explained to them of Amanda leaving some of her belongings behind, as he showed them a bed covered with her clothes.

He admitted that Amanda’s “clutter” was a sore point in trying to fix their marriage. “How we lived for seven years is just like a microcosm of everything else,” he told producers. “But for me, this is the one thing that I need immediately fixed, where I can call it home again.”

He shared with the producers that organizing his apartment was helping his mental health. “This feels so amazing to start just like freeing my mind. It’s a cleanse. I’ve been cluttered for a long time,” he admitted.

ICYMI, Amanda shared how her role at Loverboy has evolved over the years.
