Jim ascended Cho Oyu and Mount Everest in the Himalayas in May 2018. He skied 11,000 vertical feet on both summits, including a 7,000-foot route down Cho Oyu.

According to The Himalayan Times, rescuers located her body and transported it to the base camp. Later, her lifeless remains were flown to Kathmandu, according to base camp sources.

While her companion, Jim Marrison, was skiing down the 8613-meter peak on Monday, Hilaree Nelson vanished just below the mountain’s actual summit.
