Over the years, there have been cast changes, but one thing remains the same: the show follows a group of friends as they balance love, careers, and friendships as they head out to the Hamptons on the weekends in the summer to get away from the hustle and bustle of their lives in NYC.  Carl Radke, Kyle Cooke, Lindsay Hubbard, and Amanda Batula have all been there since Season 1, with many friends coming and going along the way. Summer House Season 1, Episode 1 

This is where it all began! The premiere episode for the series really offered up the first taste of the kind of chaos Summer House is famous for

“Summer is here, which for this group of friends, means it’s time to escape the rat race of NYC and jet out to the Hamptons. They’ve rented a weekend house in Montauk, and this year they’ve put together the perfect group… that is, if they don’t let the drama of living together get the best of them. Summer House Season 2, Episode 5: Smashelorette

As Summer House entered Season 2, the antics and drama really started to amp up. In this episode,  a watermelon gets smashed, and the lore really begins. According to its episode description, “Lauren’s twin sister, Ashley, is back in the Hamptons for their older sister’s bachelorette weekend and she is not happy to see how cozy Carl and Lauren have gotten. Lindsay goes on her first date since Everett with a hot younger man. Kyle takes a big step with Amanda during a romantic dinner. And Stephen finally puts his issues with Carl out on the table.

Summer House Season 2, Episode 9: Summer Should Be Fun!

Wondering why Summer House fans have the philosophy “Summer should be fun”? This episode is the reason why.

“Kyle and Amanda’s relationship feels the strain of existing in the house while Lindsay attempts to get her single summer back on track and Lauren moves on from Carl with a few new prospects,” according to the episode description. “Back from Alabama, Stephen is ready to take his fling more seriously but struggles with mixed signals and Carl asks for permission to let a new love interest spend the night.”

Summer House Season 4, Episode 1: The Big Bang

Wondering where the term “giggly squad” comes from? Well, this Season 4 episode serves as the origin story. “The summer starts off with a bang when Carl takes his friendship with Lindsay to the next level. While the returning housemates savor the juicy gossip, newbies Luke and Jules wonder what they’ve signed up for. Meanwhile, Kyle and Amanda are in a challenging place, making Paige and Hannah the house’s happiest couple,” the description reads. “But, if male model/hockey coach Luke has his way, that could change quickly.”

Summer House Season 5, Episode 3: The Sandwich Between Us

In Season 5, viewers get to meet Ciara Miller, who joins the cast this season. Some of the show’s later-season dynamics are also forming in Season 5.  This specific episode from the season begins to tell those tales. In this Season 5 episode, Lindsay Hubbard uttered the iconic “How many sandwiches have you made me?” line, and the rest is history.

Summer House Season 7, Episode 13: The Hangover 

This Season 7 episode of Summer House really highlights how even a surprise engagement makes for the perfect party theme. Even if everyone has mixed feelings about it. “Carl throws Lindsay a surprise engagement party, but the reaction to their nuptial news shocks everyone,” the official description notes. “The housemates hit the beach for a game of flag football. Carl is surprised to be confronted by a friend from outside the house.”

Summer House Season 8, Episode 1: Declaration of Codependence

In the Season 8 premiere episode, West Wilson and Jesse Solomon were introduced to the cast and set up some of the current dramas on the show. “Stars, stripes and new guys, the housemates head back to the Hamptons for another summer of fun! Ready to leave the past behind, Ciara is open to a summer romance. Will one of the new, single housemates catch her eye?” the episode description reads. “Meanwhile, two years into marriage, Kyle and Amanda encounter their biggest hurdle yet.”

The Season 9 premiere episode marks the moment that Lindsay revealed her biggest life update yet when she announced her pregnancy with an epic sonogram reveal. Per the episode description, “As the housemates return to the Hamptons for another summer, Lindsay arrives with a big secret that will change the house forever. Jesse feels a spark with new housemate Lexi, but the tension between West and Ciara makes him hesitant to pursue a relationship in the house.

Summer House Season 10, Episode 9: Wrinkles & Rose

This Summer House Season 10 episode really spotlights how great the cast is at throwing theme parties as well as highlights the emotional ups and downs of the group’s lives in the Hamptons and back in NYC. 

Per the official description, “A retirement-themed birthday bash for Kyle takes a turn when West confronts him. Lindsay hosts a housewarming party back in the city. Ciara makes a shocking suggestion to Amanda.”
