The revelation about Jeff’s love life arrived in Still Flipping Out‘s Sept. 28 episode amid some “flirty” behavior from Joey Zauzig, one of his SiriusXM show’s regular guest co-hosts, better known as “Chumps” (more on that below).
“Joey knows I’m seeing someone,” Jeff explained in a confessional. “Which tells me that he really kind of has a lack of respect for me, a lack of respect for Ty, and a lack of respect for our relationship.”

Who is Jeff Lewis’ boyfriend, Ty?
So far, Ty has only appeared in a brief clip in Episode 1 of Still Flipping Out, with a chyron identifying him as Jeff’s boyfriend. Though Jeff has largely kept his and Ty’s romance private, he has shared some details on Jeff Lewis Live, including that they started out in a long-distance relationship.
How long have Jeff Lewis and Ty been dating?
Though Jeff has yet to spill much intel about Ty on Still Flipping Out, he referred to him as his “new boyfriend” on his SiriusXM show in late February 2025, meaning they’ve likely been together for roughly a year and a half.
At the time, Jeff’s team, including his chief of staff, Shane Douglas, Jeff Lewis Live producer Jamison Scala, and social media manager Annie Sharp, were giving him some early relationship advice over the airwaves. When Shane, for one, asked if Jeff was going to see Ty’s apartment, Jeff replied, “No. Do I need to? Do I care? Honestly, never occurred to me.”

The group unanimously said, “Yes!” with Shane adding that it was “weird to be dating somebody and not be able to picture where they live.”
Jamison, for his part, added, “It’ll help you get to know him better. When you see a picture, say, ‘Who’s this?'” To make sure he was understanding correctly, Jeff replied, “Ask questions, like, as if I’m interested?”
What happened between Jeff Lewis and Joey Zauzig?
Though Jeff insisted on Still Flipping Out that he and Joey are “just friends,” the latter claimed that they had “made out” in the past. The “sparks” that Joey described as flying between them led him to believe that the door was still open for him and Jeff to date in the future. Even so, Jeff told Joey, “It’s off the table.”
“I get that’s his schtick. He’s flirty. He likes everybody to be attracted to him,” Jeff said of Joey in an Episode 1 confessional. “But I have set boundaries with Joey. We are just friends. I don’t think he’s good with boundaries, period.”
Separately, Joey told a Still Flipping Out producer, “Jeff is so hellbent on protecting the Ty of it all that I think he’s not really willing to say the truth right now. But me and Jeff have made out before. There were sparks. It felt like, wow, this feels, like, kind of natural. Um, not the lips; the kiss itself.”

Joey Zauzig is an actor, social media influencer, and one of the Jeff Lewis Live Chumps. “Joey’s very popular. People like him” Jeff said in Episode 1, before, later, detailing how Joey’s recent behavior at a live work event had led him to question his trust in him.Â
