Who’s Salley Carson Dating? Love Life & Relationship History

Austen and Salley are not dating at the moment, but the two recently explained that that fans will have to tune in to Southern Charm Season 12 to get the full picture of where they currently stand.

Andy Cohen, more specifically, asked Austen and Salley why they aren’t dating during Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Oct. 7, and Austen answered, “Well, Andy, Season 12 of Southern Charm really dives into that.”

Salley also revealed more about her and Austen’s current status on the Sept. 23 episode of her podcast. “Nothing’s going on sexually between me and Austen,” she said. “We haven’t kissed or done anything.”

However, she also admitted her relationship with Austen has been a problem as she tries to date other men: “There has been guys in my life that are like, ‘You and Austen are too close. I can’t handle that.'”

Salley and Kyle were first linked together in March 2026 following a trip he took to Charleston amid his recent separation from Amanda Batula. As for whether or not they dated, Kyle explained on the March 10 episode of WWHL, “We were out with multiple friends, at a dive bar. This was not a date situation, just having fun. But, she’s a great girl.”

Kyle was further pressed about Salley during the Summer House Season 10 reunion, but he denied that they were “a thing” or had “hooked up.” 

Salley, however, hinted that more was going on with Kyle during a July 2026 Instagram Q&A. Asked if they were spending time together for “love,” “fun,” or “something casual,” she responded, “Can 3 things be true at the same time?”

Salley and West sparked romance rumors in October 2025, ahead of West’s relationship with Amanda, after Salley shared Instagram photos of the two at a football game between the University of Oklahoma and her alma mater, the University of South Carolina. However, it was never clear what exactly happened between them. 

In Dec. 2025, though, Salley admitted on the Two Ts In A Pod podcast that she “played a little bit” with West, and that they “hung out at BravoCon 2025,” calling it “fun.”

“His personality is awesome. He’s very genuine — like, if you’re hanging out with him, all of his attention is on you,” she said at the time. 

Salley introduced her boyfriend, Andrew Dietz, during her debut season on Southern Charm. “Andrew is not my usual type,” Salley said during Season 10, Episode 6. “I’m typically with a business man, I feel like. You know, really aggressive? But Andrew wants to communicate everything and talk so soft. I don’t know. I love that my type’s changing.”

Salley revealed that while she and Andrew were dating, their exes Taylor Ann Green and Gaston Rojas were also dating, and said they bonded over their previous breakups.

“Me and Andrew were best friends,” Salley explained during Episode 5. “He was the one that got me through the Gaston s—t, and I helped him get through the Taylor s—t. We bonded over it, and, yeah, now we’re dating.”  

However, just a few months later, Salley shared during an Instagram Q&A in January 2025 that she and Andrew had broken up.

Salley first appeared on Southern Hospitality Season 2 as Joe’s date, before she later joined the cast of Southern Charm Season 10. Their romance ended up falling apart when TJ Dinch informed Joe that Salley had lied about kissing TJ’s roommate, Gaston, before her date with Joe. 

Joe shared his thoughts on the fallout with Us Weekly. “As soon as I think that I had this awesome girl…she’s from the South, and she is talking about her family. I’m like, ‘Oh, I found a good one with this one,’” Joe recalled. “And then she makes out with [Gaston],” who Joe said he considered “a close friend.”

Viewers will recall Joe confronted Salley during Episodes 4 and 5, and the two ultimately called it quits. “She was telling me how much she wanted to be exclusive and date me hours before. If I made out with a girl hours before going on a date, I wouldn’t go on that date. I don’t have that in me,” Joe added.

Salley was engaged to Avery Buchholz, but the two split just weeks before her Sept. 26, 2021 wedding was set to take place, according to Bustle. She opened up about the failed engagement during Southern Charm Season 10, Episode 6. “We had the big house and, like, he wanted kids, and I thought that I had everything,” she said at the time.

More recently, during a Feb. 2026 episode of the podcast Not Skinny but Not Fat, Salley shared that her ex had cheated on her. “I got a text or a DM that said, ‘Hey girl, I’m really sorry. I’ve been hanging out with your fiancé,” she recalled. “I remember I was at my sister’s house and I just kind of broke down. I was throwing up and crying in her front yard. And I was like, ‘I gotta end this engagement.'”

“And I did it when he was at work. I called my wedding planner, I was like, ‘We need to cancel this,'” Salley continued, noting that she had only been dating her former fiancé for “eight months” prior to their engagement, but explained that they “knew each other before.”

Yes, Salley appeared on Season 26 of The Bachelor with Clayton Echard, but she had an early exit, and rejected Clayton’s offer of the very first rose, People reported. She went on the season after calling off her engagement, and revealed during the show that she was set to meet Clayton the same weekend she was supposed to get married.

“I thought I was ready for something like this and I don’t … I don’t know if my heart is ready,” she told Clayton. She later added, “I want to accept that rose, [but] my heart is just not in the place where I can. And I feel so bad about that. My heart is just not ready.”
