Kyle Richards shed new light on her “uncomfortable” night out with Mauricio Umansky in Aspen, Colo., during The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 15’s Reunion Part 2.
Host Andy Cohen brought up the story that Kyle previously shared on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show about “being out at a party over the holidays” with Mauricio, who was, by his description, “looking around and kind of booked up.” He, then, asked her to spill more details about the “awkward” incident.
“I think, for a second, he forgot that I’ve been his wife for 30 years, even though we’re separated, and was just sort of, like, doing his thing,” Kyle recalled. “And I was witnessing him be this single guy right in front of me. I wanted to be like, ‘What are you doing? I’m standing right here.'”

As Kyle reminded viewers, Rachel Zoe was also out in Aspen that night. As the Season 15 newcomer chimed in, “It was awful. … He’s living a very different life.”
Kyle previously revealed on the RHOBH After Show that seeing Mauricio’s behavior for herself had helped her to finally decide the fate of their marriage. In a reunion update, she noted that neither is likely to file for divorce anytime soon, however.
“We have had a conversation after Aspen and recently,” she explained to Andy. “Once there’s someone, you know, that comes into either one of our lives, they’re gonna force our hand in that, you know, obviously. So, we haven’t felt that and needed to do that.”
Kyle Richards unpacked her fears about divorcing Mauricio Umansky
As Kyle and some of her RHOBH castmates discussed the downside of waiting until there’s someone else to “blame” for the divorce before filing, the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host asked, “Are you afraid that your relationship will inherently change once you’re officially divorced?”
Kyle admitted, “Yes, that does scare me,” before adding that her fears are “probably” holding her back from divorcing Mauricio. That said, she denied that she was “waiting for him to come back” to her, as Dorit Kemsley had suggested.

“I think it’s just not knowing what you want and, you know, I like the way it is,” Kyle elaborated. “We can have dinner. You know, he goes to his room, I go to my room. And, you know, we wake up and we have coffee in the morning, talk about what we’re gonna do. We go skiing, and like…”
After clarifying that she was referring to their family trips to Colorado specifically, Andy questioned if she felt as though they wouldn’t still take similar vacations, post-divorce.
“No. It would change,” Kyle predicted. “And it would be scary if it changed.”
More details on Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky’s night in Aspen
The reason the subject of Kyle and Mauricio’s time in Aspen previously arose on the After Show in the first place was that new reconciliation rumors had begun circulating, based on alleged eyewitness accounts from the same New Years Eve party in question.
“Somebody made that story up — period,” Kyle declared, prior to sharing what really happened that night.
By her account, she and Mau had actually been out in Aspen to ring in the new year with their daughters, per family tradition. While she had primarily been hanging with their girls all night, Mau was “off doing his thing,” she said. When the clock struck midnight, Kyle, Mauricio, and Farrah Brittany shared what she described as a celebratory “group hug.”
“That was pretty much it,” Kyle recalled. “Mau was definitely very booked up, looking around. … I left Aspen feeling like I won’t be rushing back to do a family trip like that. You know, I don’t need to have that rubbed in my face.”
She added, “This trip told me everything I need to know. … I’m not happy with the way things went.”
