Podiatrist Accused of Sexually Abusing 9 Female Patients; Still Practicing! – Crime Online

An Oregon podiatrist charged with sexually abusing two patients in December has been accused by nine more women since that time — and he is still allowed to see patients.

The Oregon Medical Board is conducting an investigation, separate from the Portland Police Bureau investigation, and until that is complete Brian M. Bowen, 49, is required to be be accompanied by a medically-trained chaperone for all examinations and procedures, the Portland Tribune reports.

Bowen was initially indicted on charges that he sexually abused two women in separate incidents at Eastside Foot & Ankle between August 2022 and October 2o23, according to Portland police.

Since that time seven more women have come forward, and he now faces two counts of first degree sexual abuse, one count of second degree sexual abuse, nine counts of third degree sexual abuse, and two counts of sexual abuse by fraudulent representation.

Portland police said they began the investigation in September 2022 when a woman reported being fondled during an exam in May 2022. A second woman reported a similar incident that occurred in January 2023. Bowen was indicted on December 6, initially on one count of second degree sexual abuse and three counts of third degree sexual abuse.

The doctor was indicted on the additional charges earlier this month.

Bowen is still listed as one of three providers at Eastside Foot & Ankle.
